The Imibala Summer Gala was hosted for the second time at the Vergelegen Wine Estate in the Cape winelands. The charity auction raises funds for the Imibala Trust founded and chaired by Gaynor Rupert.
This year, the gala aims to further the profile and awareness around the trust, and once again raise money with many lifestyle, luxury and fashion brands, and renowned artists generously donating desirable lots with the goal of surpassing last year’s triumph.
The Imibala Summer Gala auction lots have been announced and the this year’s selection of bespoke experiences and custom luxury goods are truly one-of-a-kind.
The Imibala Ballet programme focuses on classical ballet, but students – who are as young as nine and up to 14 years old – can also learn modern dance, Latin America and hip hop. The program provides a holistic learning experience that encourages play and creative forms of self-expression. Ahead of the second annual Imibala Summer Gala, which will be held on 8 February, some of the students who will present an original choreography on the night came together.
